Miracles in the Mission | January 31, 2016

Welcome to "The Nathan Report" and are glad to announce the 17th Church anniversary special service today.

"Let us go across all the nation and proclaim the name of Jesus!" A beautiful day of winter with amazing moods as today we have a special service as our church “The River of Life Assembly” as completed 17 years. We have been very blessed as Lord has helped us with expansions in many ways. There has been a blessing of increase in number of the congregation, partners, church expansion and moreover support of Church.

We have three testimonies of three different pastors from our partner churches.

Testimony 1: "I am the son of pastor who served the Lord for 47 years and now went to be with the Lord. My mother started a great revival in our town and she now also has went to be with the Lord now. On 2010, December 27, I moved to Bangalore. On February 20, 2011, I started a church. I and Vivek have studied together, we were batch mates. When he once visited us, and realized our needs. We are thankful for the River of Life Assembly (ROLA), who supported us.

Testimony 2: "We started a church 7 years back in Nasik road. Recently we began another church in panchwati. We have received support from ROLA. Before we started, there were so many questions. Now we have been blessed to be constant and the church is moving towards God."

Testimony 3: "Whatever I am today as a pastor and representing the leader of Church, I would like to say “Thank You ROLA". Thank you for granting things of necessity. In November once Sunday I was conducting our service and everything was going well. Suddenly a group of people entered with sticks and swords inside the church. When people came inside, the congregation got scared and started running away. Two members of the church along with my family were left. They hit the fan and then tried to break to roof and shouted "Don't convert people". I told them Jesus came not to convert people but to give life. They tried to hit me and my children started crying. I told them, we don't tell people to change their religion. We share Jesus to them. After listening to our voice few people came and that group left warning us to shut down this church. I locked the church and left for home scared. God spoke to me, "Don't be scared, for I am with you." Next Sunday I again went to church, and started worship, but this time we worshipped near the door. And again these people came. I got scared and my heart began beating hard, however I closed my eyes and continued to worship. Next Sunday we didn't even opened the church. I had to leave for Mumbai and I told my wife not to open the Church and tell people I am out of station. My wife prayed the night before and God spoke to her and next day she opened the church without informing me. She went and people went and they worshipped and nothing happened. We thank you that God has delivered from all the troubles.

If you want to glorify God, then do these few things...

1- Pray.
2- Give.
3- Go on a mission and serve God.

Our God is a good God and His mercy endures forever! As we all know, this Church began 17 years, we are glad that this is a mission centered church.

Today we will be reading about, "Miracles in the Mission".

Even after 17 years, God will do miracles. Things may look very hard, Challenging, impossible, but the promise of God will never fail and He will perform miracles. The Way G0d helped Paul, He will help you.

Acts 19:11 onwards ... “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: insomuch that unto the sick were carried away from his body handkerchiefs or aprons, and the evil spirits went out.”

Let us look at the Pauline epistles, the way Paul describes. Also if we look in the Old Testament, we will see miracles. God did miracle in the life of Noses, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel and many places. Everywhere God is faithful.

In all Gospels, Jesus was traveling from person to person and from place to place to save people. During his ministry, there are 37 miracles recorded. Jesus is same yesterday today and forever.

Many people in entire bible who were in trouble, God stepped into their lives. Many times we ask, why God isn't blessing me, why God isn't eloping me. Dear church, don't quit, before Miracle happens. We have lost patience in our life and now we want everything the way we want. Let us wait patiently church. Time all come when Hod will step into your life and a miracle will happen. Paul says on miracles, that one thing he knows, "To know God,

Philippians 3:10, “that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death."

Deuteronomy 33:26, “There is none like unto God, O Jeshurun, Who rideth upon the heavens for thy help, And in his Excellency on the skies.”

Daniel 11:32, “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he pervert by flatteries; but the people that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

1 Samuel 17:2, “And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and encamped in the vale of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.”

1 Samuel 17:37, And David said, Jehovah that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and Jehovah shall be with thee.”

1 Samuel 17:45-47, "Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a javelin: but I come to thee in the name of Jehovah of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will Jehovah deliver thee into my hand; and I will smite thee, and take thy head from off thee; and I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day unto the birds of the heavens, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

A shepherd lad, come the same morning from keeping sheep, had more courage than all the mighty men of Israel. Thus God often sends good words to his Israel, and does great things for them, by the weak and foolish things of the world. As he had answered his brother's passion with meekness, so David answered Saul's fear with faith. When David kept sheep, he proved himself very careful and tender of his flock. This reminds us of Christ, the good Shepherd, who not only ventured, but laid down his life for the sheep. Our experience ought to encourage us to trust in God, and be bold in the way of duty. He that has delivered, does and will continue to do so. David gained leave to fight the Philistine. Not being used to such armour as Saul put upon him, he was not satisfied to go in that manner; this was from the Lord, that it might more plainly appear he fought and conquered in faith, and that the victory was from Him who works by the feeblest and most despised means and instruments. It is not to be inquired how excellent any thing is, but how proper. Let Saul's coat be ever so rich, and his armour ever so strong, what is David the better if they fit him not? But faith, prayer, truth, and righteousness; the whole armour of God, and the mind that was in Christ; are equally needful for all the servants of the Lord, whatever may be their work. The security and presumption of fools destroy them. Nothing can excel the humility, faith, and piety which appear in David's words. He expressed his assured expectation of success; he gloried in his mean appearance and arms, that the victory might be ascribed to the Lord alone.

When you know your God, you no need someone. And you will

Paul's Missionary Journey.

Paul was a prayerful man of God. We need to be prayerful likewise. At times to sit for a long prayer, we find it difficult. We find difficulty in sitting at the feet of God. God wants to talk to is, but we are busy. We think in very worldly ways, but God is waiting for us. All he requires our commitment in prayers. In Paul's missionary journey, he was committed to pray.

Acts 12:5, “Peter therefore was kept in the prison: but prayer was made earnestly of the church unto God for him.”

When Peter was arrested, the church started prayers and the doors were open. Pauls taught us with his way of prayerfulness. Let us commit ourselves to come to our knees and pray to the one who gave us this life.

Even Jesus prayed in various places and even on the cross where e took his last breath before being resurrected.

Paul teaches to the Church of the Corinthians...

1- Know your God
2- Commitment in prayers.
3- In the midst of challenges/persecution/crises, faith in God brings miracles (walk by faith).

The righteous will live by faith. Jesus said, walk by faith not by sight. The way of faith starts with prayers.

Joshua 2:5, “And Joshua said unto the people, sanctify yourselves; for tomorrow Jehovah will do wonders among you.”

John 17:17, “Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.”

4- God says, "Sanctify yourself!" If you sanctify today, you will see the miracles in your life.

5- To see the miracles in the mission is to give to the Lord.

Bible says, you give and I will open the windows of heaven and you will see miracles.  Paul wrote that “by the grace of God I am what I am.” To this we could also add that by the grace of God “I have what I have,” and by the grace of God “I do what I do.” It is really “all because of God’s amazing grace!” And when we believe in God and allow him to control ourselves by ’knowing Him’, ‘Praying to Him’, ‘In Faith’, ‘Sanctifying ourselves’ and ‘In giving’, we certainly will see miracles in our mission.

We pray all of you stay blessed and healthy. See you all next week. God Bless!

Our relationship with God | January 24, 2016

Welcome to 'The Nathan Report!' The word of God says that must have faith like a mustard seed. If we have it, we can move the mountains. We encourage you in the name of Jesus to have a little faith and you will move the mountains.

We thank for the new days that God has given us and we know that God is going to do mighty things in our lives.

CS Lewis once said, "The moment a man seriously accepts a deity, his interest in "religion" is at an end. He's got something else to think about.”

CS Lewis
The "something else" that Lewis is referring to is actually encountering this God, and all that this implies, rather than merely adopting certain religious practices. This is certainly true of Christianity when rightly understood. The ultimate question we face in dealing with the God that Christians proclaim is not whether we can believe the truths about him, or live by the standards he demands, or want to practice certain religious observances, but whether or not we want to get involved with him - to really meet him. Christianity has its doctrines and code of ethics, but basically being a Christian means living in a relationship with the risen Lord.

Today we will talk about ‘Our relationship with God’. Religion demands some standards and practices. We need to understand that these things are important but we have even more important thing to do is, we have a relationship with the living God and we must give priority to Him.

1 Corinthians 6:19, “Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;”

Born again experience…

John 3:3-5, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!"

John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Colossians 1:27, “To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Sometimes we come to Jesus for temporary needs. The word of God talks about 5000 people being fed. Jesus Himself proclaims that I am the bread of life. Among those 5000 there were children and men. Even after that 12 baskets of loaves were left. Jesus said I am the bread of life and if you eat this you will have eternal life.

If we remember the story of Jesus and the thirsty Samaritan woman near the well (John 4), Jesus told the woman in John 4:13-14, John 4:13, "Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

If we notice in the passage of 5000 people, only 120 people were praying.  When Peter preached first message only 3000 people were there, imagine this was a lesser number then it was expected.

Our needs and troubles are temporary and they will be met. But what Jesus is offering is something difference. It is a promise of eternal life.

John 3:18, “He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Acts 4:12, “And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.

What are the characteristics of Jesus?

Luke 6:12-26, “And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles: Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew, and Matthew and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor; and he came down with them, and stood on a level place, and a great multitude of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judaea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; and they that were troubled with unclean spirits were healed. And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed them all. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you, ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets.”

-       Jesus practiced praying

Matthew 26:39, “And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

Luke 3:21, “Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened.”

Luke 6:12, “In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.”

Luke 9:29, “And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white.”

Luke 6:24, “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation.”

John 17, “1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

Luke 22:23, “And they began to question one another, which of them it could be who was going to do this.”

Luke 22:32, “but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

Luke 22:39-47, “39 and he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. 40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” 41 And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” 43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

Hebrew 27:25, “Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

Many people admire what Jesus did but don't follow like Jesus did. We need to cultivate our habit of fasting and prayers.

-       Jesus cultivated good habits

Luke 4:16, “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.”

If you have to fast, you need to practice and practice leads you to the change of habit. Reading bible should be our habit. Attending house of the Lord should be our habit. Praying daily and reading the word of God must be out habit.

Luke 3:21, “Now it came to pass, when all the people were baptized, that, Jesus also having been baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,”

When Jesus was baptised he didn't laid back and enjoyed his time. The word of God says he was taken into the wilderness. Bible talks about Daniel that he was equivalent to a prime minister. God had chosen him and taken him to such a height. Daniel was a busy man like us due to his designation. But the word of God says he when he used to go home he used to open the windows of his home which were facing towards Jerusalem, and then he used to pray, everyday three times.

If Daniel was busy and still was able to take time for God, why can't we? That's because we don't have habit. We need to cultivate our habits. And we can cultivate it by practicing.

Do we have a habit to come to the church every Sunday? Do we have habit to fast? Do we have a habit to pray? Do we have a habit to read the word of God - The Bible? If not, that means we haven't cultivated it.

Daniel 6:10, “And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.”

Some people have habit of shaking legs while sitting, some have habit to never sleep straight, some have habit of winking with both eyes constantly. What habit do we have?

Daniel was thrown to lion’s den, but he came out with no harm.

There are so many examples in the Bible. David prayed, Hannah prayed (she was habituated to worship in the worship place), Paul prayed (so many times it is mentioned in his letters), Jonah prayed (he prayed inside the belly of fish in the deep sea to the God who is in heaven, I.e. The deepest part of the world to the highest).

Irrespective wherever you prayer, it will reach God. Jesus prayed again and again.

In our lives we can see, we have few things which are part of life, such as eating, breathing, sleeping etc. No one instructs is to do so. But prayers are kept in inside us. We need to ask ourselves and do it not because someone has told us, but because the word of God says so. We aren't fasting and praying for our troubles to be solved but because we have to enter the kingdom of God and these are the basic tools to begin our journey.

We have forgotten the art of prayers. If we don't practice praying then it will be very tough for our next generation to achieve salvation. Why? Because these are the basic tools to begin our journey to the kingdom of God.

Various religions practice different ways to pray. The word of God doesn't asks us to follow traditional practices but just an honest prayer.

Illustration: In 1952, when a doctoral student at Princeton Seminary asked, "What is there left in the world for original dissertation research?" Albert Einstein replied, "Find out about prayer. Somebody must find out about prayer."

Albert Einstein
Though this brilliant man had discovered much about the hidden realities and mysteries of the universe, prayer remained an enigma to him. And yet he wanted to know—what is prayer, how does it work, is there real power behind it, can we believe in it and engage in it while embracing the scientific forces that shape reality?

And since Einstein made that statement years ago, store shelves all over the world have been flooded with books looking at this topic from every conceivable angle. People simply want to know about prayer.

Illustration: Charles Spurgeon said a prayer in the Church once:  "If the spirit of prayer is not with the people, the minister may preach like an angel, but he cannot expect success. If there is not the spirit of prayer in a Church there may be wealth, there may be talent, there may be a measure of effort, there may be an extensive machinery, but the Lord is not there. It is a sure evidence of the Presence of God that men pray as the rising of the thermometer is an evidence of the increase of the temperature. If God is near a church, it must pray, if He is not, one of the obvious signs will be lethargy in prayer."

Charles Spurgeon
Many a times, we follow the traditions and because of these traditions, we even forget what God means to us and what should be our relationship with Him? Sadly, it is possible to adopt Christian beliefs, seek to live by Christian standards, take part in Christian religious observances, and still not be really Christian! The heart of Christianity is commitment to a Person and enjoying a living relationship with that Person. If we took any founder of any other religion out of that religion, and could still receive their teaching from some other source, little would be changed. But if we take Christ out of Christianity there would be nothing left because Christianity begins by entering into a relationship with the living Christ and receiving the gift of eternal life from Him.

So what do you think? Let us cultivate our habits by practicing what the word of God says and let us ask Lord to strengthen us enough to fight the lethargy in prayers and habits which are unpleasing to God. We hope you enjoyed today’s sermon. God Bless!

Jesus Christ is God | 17 January, 2016 |

Welcome to 'The Nathan Report!'
What a beautiful day of winters, which Lord has made. God is committed to bless us and provide with the best of His creation. We must also be committed to God. If we are not committed then we certainly will not receive the blessings of God. God is not looking for people who can do anything for Him as per their convenience, but them who are committed and intends to do all the times. Commitment should be like a mother’s commitment who gets up at the middle of the night when baby cries even if she hasn't slept properly. We need to be committed to raise our children in the way God wants. If we are not committed for the Lord, how can we raise our children the way God wants? How can we bear good fruit that Lord wants from us?

Today we will be learning, “Jesus Christ is God!

Colossians 1:15-20, “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him; and he is before all things, and in him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fulness dwell; and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.”

No you must be thinking if something is invisible, how can we see the image? The word of God says that God has not body and that He is a spirit. When we talk about Jesus, He is the image of invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

John 4:24, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Jesus is God! He reveals God to us in human form, but that does not diminish His deity in any way. Jesus is revealed as the Creator, and the Head of the Church, as the Savior of the world, all of those are expressions of the fact that He is God. The Lordship of Jesus Christ is built on this foundational truth: Jesus is God.

Jesus is image of God

Hebrews 1:3, “3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

Matthew 1:23, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”

John 14:9, “Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

Isaiah 44:6, “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel
    and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
“I am the first and I am the last;
    besides me there is no god.”

Revelation 1:17, “17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last.”

Isaiah 42:8, “I am the Lord; that is my name;
    my glory I give to no other,
    nor my praise to carved idols.”

John 17:5, “And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.”

John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:14, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

It is very important to understand that indeed, Jesus Christ is God. It is the central doctrine of the scripture. How can we understand that Jesus is God?

Prophecies made concerning Jesus. There are so many prophecies made many centuries before Jesus was even born. It was told about Him that prince of peace will come.

His birth
Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Mathew 1:18, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.”

Matthew 1:22-23, “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
    and they shall call his name Immanuel”
(which means, God with us).”

His birthplace
Micah 5:2, “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
    who are too little to be among the clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me
    one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old,
    from ancient days.”

Luke 2:4, “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David.”

Luke 2:6-7, “6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”

His Childhood in Egypt
Hosea 11:1, “When Israel was a child, I loved him,
    and out of Egypt I called my son.”

Matthew 2:14-15, And he rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed to Egypt  and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

The purpose of His death
(Old Testament) Isaiah 53:4-6,
“4 Surely he has borne our griefs
    and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
    smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions;
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
    and with his wounds we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
    we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.”

(New Testament) 1 Corinthians 15:21, “For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.”

1 Peter 2:24, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.”

His betrayal

Zechariah 11:12-13, “12 Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver. 13 Then the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord, to the potter.”

Matthew 26:14-16, “14 Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. 16 And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.”

His Crucifixion
Old Testament Prophecy: Psalm 22, “1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
    Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?
2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer,
    and by night, but I find no rest.
3 Yet you are holy,
    enthroned on the praises of Israel.
4 In you our fathers trusted;
    they trusted, and you delivered them.
5 To you they cried and were rescued;
    in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
6 But I am a worm and not a man,
    scorned by mankind and despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me;
    they make mouths at me; they wag their heads;
8 “He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him;
    let him rescue him, for he delights in him!”
9 Yet you are he who took me from the womb;
    you made me trust you at my mother's breasts.
10 On you was I cast from my birth,
    and from my mother's womb you have been my God.
11 Be not far from me,
    for trouble is near,
    and there is none to help.
12 Many bulls encompass me;
    strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
13 they open wide their mouths at me,
    like a ravening and roaring lion.
14 I am poured out like water,
    and all my bones are out of joint;
my heart is like wax;
    it is melted within my breast;
15 my strength is dried up like a potsherd,
    and my tongue sticks to my jaws;
    you lay me in the dust of death.
16 For dogs encompass me;
    a company of evildoers encircles me;
they have pierced my hands and feet—
17 I can count all my bones—
they stare and gloat over me;
18 they divide my garments among them,
    and for my clothing they cast lots.
19 But you, O Lord, do not be far off!
    O you my help, come quickly to my aid!
20 Deliver my soul from the sword,
    my precious life from the power of the dog!
21     Save me from the mouth of the lion!
You have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen!
22 I will tell of your name to my brothers;
    in the midst of the congregation I will praise you:
23 You who fear the Lord, praise him!
    All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him,
    and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel!
24 For he has not despised or abhorred
    the affliction of the afflicted,
and he has not hidden his face from him,
    but has heard, when he cried to him.
25 From you comes my praise in the great congregation;
    my vows I will perform before those who fear him.
26 The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied;
    those who seek him shall praise the Lord!
    May your hearts live forever!
27 All the ends of the earth shall remember
    and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
    shall worship before you.
28 For kingship belongs to the Lord,
    and he rules over the nations.
29 All the prosperous of the earth eat and worship;
    before him shall bow all who go down to the dust,
    even the one who could not keep himself alive.
30 Posterity shall serve him;
    it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation;
31 they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn,
    that he has done it.”

Fulfillment in Jesus: Matthew 27,
“Jesus Delivered to Pilate
27 When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death. 2 And they bound him and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate the governor.

Judas Hangs Himself
3 Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? See to it yourself.” 5 And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, he departed, and he went and hanged himself. 6 But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is blood money.” 7 So they took counsel and bought with them the potter's field as a burial place for strangers. 8 Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9 Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel, 10 and they gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord directed me.”

Jesus before Pilate
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You have said so.” 12 But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer. 13 Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?” 14 But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.

The Crowd Chooses Barabbas
15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the crowd any one prisoner whom they wanted. 16 And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 So when they had gathered, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18 For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up. 19 Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream.” 20 Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” 22 Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” 23 And he said, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”

Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified
24 So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man's blood; see to it yourselves.” 25 And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!” 26 Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.

Jesus Is Mocked
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor's headquarters, and they gathered the whole battalion before him. 28 And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.

The Crucifixion
32 As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross. 33 And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull), 34 they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. 35 And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots. 36 Then they sat down and kept watch over him there. 37 And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” 38 Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left. 39 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.” 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, 42 “He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” 44 And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.

The Death of Jesus
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 47 And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.” 48 And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink. 49 But the others said, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him.” 50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.

51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, 53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

55 There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him, 56 among whom were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Jesus Is Buried
57 When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. 58 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. 59 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud 60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away. 61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.

The Guard at the Tomb
62 The next day, that is, after the day of Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate 63 and said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’ 64 Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first.” 65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.”

His Resurrection
Psalms 16:9-10, “9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
    my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
    or let your holy one see corruption.”

Fulfilment
Act 2:31, “he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.”

Conception and His birth
Matthew 1:22-23, “22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
    and they shall call his name Immanuel”
(which means, God with us).”

Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Galatians 4:4, “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law.”

Isaiah 17:14, “At evening time, behold, terror!
    Before morning, they are no more!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
    and the lot of those who plunder us.”

Isaiah 9:6, “At evening time, behold, terror!
    Before morning, they are no more!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
    and the lot of those who plunder us.”

Matthew 1:18-19, “18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly.”

Matthew 1:20-21, “20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.””

Matthew 1:22-23, “22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
    and they shall call his name Immanuel””

Luke 1:68, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
    for he has visited and redeemed his people.”

John 1:14, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

His Miracles
John 3:2, This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”

Acts 2:22, “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know."

Illustration: One man came to my office once and said, "I can show 11 pots of Gold. I can help you and we can take all the money out. It's next to river." I asked him how we can do it? "He said that there will be charges of Indian ₹ 100/-"
I recently met that man, he was drunk and I asked him, did you find it get?" Clearly this man was a liar.

Jesus is not like men of this world. Jesus Christ is God and He never lies.

John 20:30-31, “30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

Many people argue, "Where is written that I should stop at traffic signal?" "Where is it written that I should not smoke?" "Where is it written that I should not consume tobacco?"

John says, "Bible talks about things important for your salvation."

Matthew 11:4-5, “4 And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: 5 the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.”

John 11:1-44, “The Death of Lazarus
1 Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 It was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill. 3 So the sisters sent to him, saying, “Lord, he whom you love is ill.” 4 But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So, when he heard that Lazarus was ill, he stayed two days longer in the place where he was. 7 Then after this he said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.” 8 The disciples said to him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again?” 9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10 But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” 11 After saying these things, he said to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him.” 12 The disciples said to him, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.” 13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus told them plainly, “Lazarus has died, 15 and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.” 16 So Thomas, called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”

I Am the Resurrection and the Life
17 Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days. 18 Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off, 19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother. 20 So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”

Jesus Weeps
28 When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private, “The Teacher is here and is calling for you.” 29 And when she heard it, she rose quickly and went to him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha had met him. 31 When the Jews who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary rise quickly and go out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there. 32 Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. 34 And he said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus wept. 36 So the Jews said, “See how he loved him!” 37 But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?”

Jesus Raises Lazarus
38 Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, “Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” 41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.” 43 When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” 44 The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.””

John 12:10-11, “10 So the chief priests made plans to put Lazarus to death as well, 11 because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and believing in Jesus.”

Many people have all the money in this world to spend on medical science and to do the experiments. But still they don't have any money to live forever. We are blessed because Jesus is God and we have a promise of eternal life.

These words are written that we believe that Jesus is the son of God and that we have an eternal life.

His Death

Mark 15:33, “And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.”

Matthew 27:51-54, “51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.

Colossians 1:15, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.”

Luke 23:34, “And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.”

John 10:18, “No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.””

John 19:30, “When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”

His Resurrection

Psalm 2, “1 Why do the nations rage
    and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
    and the rulers take counsel together,
    against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us burst their bonds apart
    and cast away their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;
    the Lord holds them in derision.
5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
    and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6 “As for me, I have set my King
    on Zion, my holy hill.”
7 I will tell of the decree:
The Lord said to me, “You are my Son;
    today I have begotten you.
8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
    and the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron
    and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”
10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
    be warned, O rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
    and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son,
    lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
    for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.”

Psalm 16, “1 Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    I have no good apart from you.”
3 As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
    in whom is all my delight.
4 The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply;
    their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
    or take their names on my lips.
5 The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
    you hold my lot.
6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
7 I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
    in the night also my heart instructs me.
8 I have set the Lord always before me;
    because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
    my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
    or let your holy one see corruption.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
    in your presence there is fullness of joy;
    at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

John 2:19, Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

John 2:21, “But he was speaking about the temple of his body.”

Matthew 12:40-42, “40 For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. 42 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.”

Matthew 17:9, And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Tell no one the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.”

His ascension

Acts 1:10, “And while they were looking stedfastly into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;”

Acts 1:11, “who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye looking into heaven? this Jesus, who was received up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye beheld him going into heaven.”

Who is Jesus to you?

Few say that he is a King, few say He is a liar, few say He is. Prophet. Let us see what the word of God says:

“His followers”
John the Baptist
John 1:29, “On the morrow he seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world!”

Peter
Matthew 16:16, Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Matthew 16:17, And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.”

Martha
John 11:27, She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”

Thomas
John 20:28-29, Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Paul
2 Corinthians 5:21, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Titus 2:13, “waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”

“His enemies”
The Jews
John 10:33, The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

Judas
Matthew 27:3-4, Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? See to it yourself.”

Pilate
Matthew 27:22-23, Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” 23 And he said, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”

Roman Soldier
Matthew 27:54, When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

There are many other signs and proofs that Jesus is God, but these were committed to writing, that all might believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah, the Saviour of sinners, and the Son of God; that, by this faith, they might obtain eternal life, by his mercy, truth, and power. May we believe that Jesus is the Christ, and believing may we have life through his name.

Jesus taught with authority which is a basis for His claim of Lordship. Even an unclean spirit could clearly identify that Jesus was God, that He was the Holy One of God.
This morning I want you to ask yourselves if you truly believe that Jesus Christ is God. Because if He is, then He has the divine right to your love and obedience. And if He isn’t God, then all of this is nothing more than religion, and religion cannot guarantee you life in heaven when this life is over, only a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God can do that.

There are so many more things we have yet to cover in our study on the Lordship of Christ, but it all begins here. Do you believe that Jesus is who He said He is, and that He did what only He could do, so that you could receive what only He could give? Jesus Christ is God and as God He became man and paid the price for your sins on the cross and then rose again to offer you eternal life. What are you going to do with the offer? I would propose, "Let us be committed to our Lord, our God - Jesus Christ!" God Bless!
