The story is about an evangelist who finds himself framed for murder and on the run after he refuses to back a senator's proposition calling for sweeping religious reform.

It is based on the series of novels of same name, written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, and is a reboot of Left Behind: The Movie, which is based on the idea of a pre-tribulation Rapture. The film is set for an October 3, 2014 release.
